During a historic visit of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the Sultanate of Oman, high-level ceremonies were held to honor the strong bilateral relations between the two countries.
Sultan Haitham bin Tariq awarded President Tebboune the Al Said Medal, the highest decoration in the Sultanate of Oman, named after the ruling family and exclusively awarded to senior leaders, kings, and presidents in recognition of the fraternal bonds and cooperation between the two countries.
The Sultan also presented President Tebboune with the famous Omani khanjar (dagger).
In turn, President Tebboune conferred the "Athir" medal from the National Order of Merit on the Sultan, symbolizing the deep fraternal spirit between them, and presented him with the distinguished Algerian sword, the "Flissa."
The visit also witnessed the signing of eight memorandums of understanding in various fields to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
These MOUs included the areas of higher education, media, environment, investment promotion, financial services, and the development of educational, training, and employment sectors. The agreements were signed by ministers from both sides: Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf and Minister of Higher Education Kamel Baddari, along with their counterparts from Oman.
On the sidelines of the visit, President Tebboune directed the establishment of an Algerian cultural center in the Sultanate of Oman to embody the cultural connection between the two brotherly countries, emphasizing the importance of enhancing Algerian cultural presence in the region.
Information on Algerian Real Estate Investment in the Sultanate of Oman
Algerians enjoy promising opportunities for real estate investment in the Sultanate of Oman, as the Sultanate offers various incentives for foreign investors, including Algerians, to attract real estate investments and enhance economic cooperation.
Prominent incentives include dedicated investment zones, tax incentives, and streamlined real estate transaction procedures, allowing property ownership in specific areas subject to established regulations and conditions.
This framework enables Algerian investors to benefit from Oman’s growing real estate market, which includes residential, commercial, and tourism properties, particularly as demand for real estate rises under Oman Vision 2040, which aims to develop modern infrastructure and attract foreign investment through real estate and tourism projects.
