The Fastest Growing Sector in Oman's Economy

Mohamed Fouad, a real estate expert and member of the Egyptian-British Businessmen Association, confirmed that the real estate sector in the Sultanate of Oman is one of the fastest-growing sectors, despite the current challenges in the global economy.
Fouad noted that the volume of real estate transactions in the Sultanate amounted to 447.3 million Omani riyals by the end of last month, recording a 17.4% increase compared to the same period of the previous year, according to data from the National Center for Statistics and Information in Oman.

He added that the construction and design sector in Oman is witnessing significant development thanks to the adoption of modern technologies in building materials and the speed of project completion, which contributes to cost reduction.
There is also an increasing trend among individuals to design their homes according to the latest engineering standards and innovative designs, benefiting from social media and electronic platforms that have significantly contributed to showcasing the latest architectural designs.

Fouad continued that the keys to success for real estate projects in Oman are innovation, development, maintaining credibility with clients, and the use of local raw materials. He noted that the flow of new ideas based on sustainability and technological advancement, along with attention to health and safety aspects, have become essential elements for ensuring the success of construction and design projects in the Omani market.

Fouad emphasized that the real estate sector is one of the main pillars of the Omani economy, contributing significantly to supporting activities such as tourism, trade, and industry, thanks to its stability in the face of economic fluctuations and its ability to maintain investment value and provide guaranteed returns.
