In the first half of 2024, the Duqm Special Economic Zone achieved significant development in economic licensing, with 247 new licenses issued for various economic activities. This development aligned with increasing investment interest in the area.
The region has also witnessed growth in various investment sectors, issuing 355 licenses in public services, 68 commercial registrations, 55 building permits, 87 environmental licenses, in addition to more than 900 business and investment licenses.
As part of its efforts to enhance the ease of investment, the district administration explained, through Khalid bin Salim Al-Khasibi, Head of Registration and Licensing at the One-Stop Station, that the digital transformation adopted in providing services to investors has facilitated processes and increased investment volume. The "OMAP" electronic platform enables investors to select economic activities, land, and pay fees electronically.
Moreover, a specialized team assists investors at every stage of the investment process.
The zone is keen on supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs), offering them discounts of up to 50% on service fees to encourage investment.
The Duqm Special Economic Zone is overseen by the General Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones, offering a wide range of investment opportunities.
